Share Your Outdoor Dog Adventures with Us!

Get your cameras and four-legged companions ready! This year’s #WildKelowna photo contest is all about “Dogs of the Okanagan.” This is our 4th Wilden photo contest and we are excited to see all your amazing pictures again!

Here in Wilden we looove dogs and the dogs love our trails. This is why we are dedicating the contest to all our wild four and two-legged friends and their outdoor adventures in the Okanagan this year.

We want to see pictures of you and your furry friend(s) out on adventures in the Okanagan; enjoying beautiful mountain and lake views or playing by the water and in the park. Share the outdoor moments that you share with your pooch with us by entering our 2018 #WildKelowna photo contest.

What You Can Win:

• One custom made “Shanti & Nelson” doggie bandana
• $100.00 GC to Bosley’s pet store
• 20 minute photo mini session with your pooch and family.

The contest will run until July 31st 11.59pm. The best 15 entries will be selected by our Wilden judges to be exhibited at our 2018 Wilden Creativity Festival on August 19th. At the event all attendees will get the chance to vote for their favourite picture. The photo with the most votes wins.

 

How to Enter • General Rules

• Maximum of 3 entries per person
• Artist submitting must be a resident of the Okanagan Valley
• Pictures must be taken in the Okanagan (please let us know where you took the picture)
• Only OUTDOOR pictures with your pup will be considered (no indoor captures)

 

Enter via Instagram:

Please make sure to check off the following points:

• Follow us on Instagram (@wildenkelowna)
• Post (or repost) your favourite outdoor photo with your furry adventure buddy you captured in the Okanagan Valley and mention in the caption where you took the picture. Must be taken in the Okanagan.
• Use the hashtag #WildKelowna so we are able to find your entry (add #wildenkelowna if it was taken in Wilden).
• Make sure your profile is set to public so we are able to see your entries.
• If your photo is selected into the Top 15 you will be contacted for high-resolution images.

If you don’t have Instagram don’t worry, just enter via email.

Enter by e-mail: 

• Send your adventure dog pictures (up to 3) to [email protected]
• You may send your photos in low resolution for initial review. If your photo is selected into the Top 15 you will be contacted for high-resolution images.
• All files should be sent as JPEG file attachments.

Contest photo submission will be accepted until midnight July 31st.

(Entries submitted later than the deadline won’t be considered)

 

Announcement of the winning photo:

We will exhibit a selection of the 15 best photos at our Creativity Festival on August 19th 2018 at our Rocky Point Presentation Centre (1454 Rocky Point Drive). All event attendees will get one vote to support their favourite entry. The exhibited photo entry with the most votes will be announced at the Creativity Festival.

Please note that votes can only be submitted by people attending the event. Not online, via phone or email.
