It’s time to #MeetWilden! Meet Wilden resident Ingrid Witt from PRIME Physiotherapy & Performance.
1. What is your name?
Ingrid Witt
2. Which Wilden neighbourhood do you live in?
Hidden Lake
3. What do you do for work and where can we find you online?
I am a physiotherapist at a private clinic here in Kelowna – PRIME Physiotherapy and Performance. I have been practicing for nearly 15 years and love helping my patients get back to their passions. I am truly excited to be a part of the PRIME Team and my new community here in Kelowna! You can find us on our website www.primekelowna.ca or on our Facebook page PRIME Physiotherapy Kelowna.
4. What do you do for play?
I am a golf nut and cannot wait to explore my new playground in Kelowna! I am also excited to get back into tennis – I used to play competitively but haven’t had anyone to play the last 6 years, so I’m hoping to find some new court friends and re-connect with my topspin forehand. I also enjoy time hiking, being in nature and travelling when the pocketbook allows. I also never stop singing. 😊
5. What is your secret superpower?
Taking away pain with my magic needles and soothing people with my voice. I really am the singing physio!
6. What are some of you favourite things about living in Wilden?
I love being surrounded by nature yet only being 15 minutes from anywhere in the city. I really am in awe at how peaceful it is in Wilden. There is also a great sense of community here and I’m certain I will be friends with many of my neighbours. Plus, how many places in the city can you sip wine on your balcony while gazing at the stars?!!
7. What is Kelowna’s best kept secret?
Well I haven’t discovered that yet since I only just moved here from Alberta, so I’d love some local suggestions! A friend got me hooked on lunch at Quail’s Gate Winery 2 years ago, and I must say the plum martini I had at RauDZ was life changing.
8. What is your favourite locally made product?
Hmmm…..I highly recommend the lavender gin made at Urban Distillery + Winery, or the gelato at Carmelis Goat Farm. And just about any Okanagan wine. 😊
9. If you could give $1M to charity, which one would you choose?
I would have to say diabetes research, as my older sister has been living with Type 1 diabetes for 25+ years. I would sacrifice anything to give her even one day where she didn’t have to think about what she was eating and how much insulin is required to counter-balance that piece of food so she stays alive.
10. What is the one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
That I sing opera, although maybe not as well as I used to….so sorry to my neighbours if you can hear me!
11. If you weren’t living in the beautiful Okanagan, where would you live?
Well I’m going to sound a little cliché here, but moving to the Okanagan was my dream location! If I must choose somewhere else, I’d have to say New Zealand or Hawaii.
Thanks Ingrid for some great tips on where to go here in Kelowna for some drinks and food. Everything sounds super delicious!
