#WildKelowna Photo Contest Is Back

Exploring the Okanagan Outdoors with Your Best Friend(s)

This year’s #WildKelowna photo contest is all about enjoying the beautiful Okanagan outdoors in good company – whether it be your best human friend, dog pal, cat buddy, parent or partner – we can’t wait to see your pictures! 

Wilden is all about enjoying the beauty of nature that surrounds us. We love taking time to get out there, breathe in some fresh air, appreciate stunning views, recharge and reconnect with what truly matters. Grab your best friend(s), share your favourite outdoor moments with us and enter our 5th annual #WildKelowna photo contest!

What You Can Win:

• Wilden goodie bag including $100 GiftCard for rooftop lunch/dinner/sunset drinks at Perch Café & Lounge! 

The contest will run until August 31st @ 11.59pm. The best 15 entries will be selected by our Wilden judges to be exhibited at our 2019 Wilden Creativity Festival on September 15th, 2019. At the event, all attendees will get the chance to vote for their favourite picture. The photo with the most votes wins!

How to Enter • General Rules

• Maximum of 3 entries per person
• Artist submitting must be a resident of the Okanagan Valley
• Pictures must be taken in the Okanagan (please let us know where you took the picture)
• Only OUTDOOR pictures with friend(s) will be considered (no indoor captures)
• Friendship is the theme of the picture – photos should include at least TWO humans/dogs/cats/parrots etc.

Please make sure to check off the following points:

• Follow us on Instagram (@wildenkelowna)
• Post (or repost) your favourite outdoor photo of you together with your friend(s) or any two or more friends together captured in the Okanagan Valley and mention in the caption where you took the picture.
• Must be taken outdoors in the Okanagan & posted within the contest period (July 14-Aug. 31).
• Use the hashtag #WildKelowna so we are able to find your entry.
• Make sure your profile is set to public so we are able to see your entries.
• If your photo is selected into the Top 15 you will be contacted for high-resolution images.

Enter by E-mail: 

• Send your pictures (up to 3) to [email protected].
• Pictures must be of you together with your friend(s) or any two or more friends together captured in the Okanagan Valley.
• You may send your photos in low resolution for initial review. If your photo is selected into the Top 15 you will be contacted for high-resolution images.
• All files should be sent as JPEG file attachments.

Contest photo submissions will be accepted until midnight August 31st.
(Entries submitted later than the deadline won’t be considered)

Announcement of the Winning Photo:

We will exhibit a selection of the 15 best photos at our Creativity Festival on September 15th 2019 at our Rocky Point Presentation Centre (1454 Rocky Point Drive). All event attendees will get one vote to support their favourite entry. The exhibited photo entry with the most votes will be announced at the Creativity Festival.

Please note that votes can only be submitted by people attending the event. Not online, via phone or email.
