Summer Kick-Off Block Party + Wilden MTB Trail Opening in Kelowna

Food, fun, and fresh trails. Come celebrate summer with us in Wilden.

Summer is here, and we want to celebrate it with you. On Thursday, June 25, we’re throwing open the doors of the Wilden Presentation Centre and our three Select Builder Showhomes for an afternoon of food, fun, and the official opening of Wilden’s brand new mountain bike trails built by Trail Co. Bring your family, bring your bike, bring your appetite. There’s something for everyone.

What to expect

Five stops, four hours, one big block party. Wander between the Presentation Centre, the three Showhomes, and our new MTB trailhead. At every stop, something different to taste, try, or take in.

At the Presentation Centre 

• Free hot dogs – first come, first served
• Face painting and colouring station out back for kids and adults alike
• The Wilden Community Association will be on site with ice cream, refreshments, and a feedback booth where Wilden residents can ask questions and share ideas to help guide future Wilden community events, initiatives, and neighbourhood priorities.

At the Showhomes 

Our builders are opening their doors and bringing their own block-party flavour. Drop in for refreshments, games, and a look at what they’re building in Wilden:

At the new MTB trails 

This is the big one. After months of work, our new mountain bike trails at the end of Union Road, behind the Wilden Presentation Centre are officially open, and we want to celebrate them properly. 

• Mountain Bike demo & prizes by Cyclepath Kelowna: try out the new trails on a demo bike
• Shuttle service running riders up to the downhill trailhead all afternoon
• Lawn games
• Open bike jam at 6.30pm with Alan, founder of Trail Co. Join the jam or bring a lawn chair, find a good spot, and watch the riders send it 
• Pump track and baby pump track, so the little riders can roll laps on their balance bikes
• Music by Ur Girl Meems at the trails throughout the event

Bring your bike 

If you’ve got a mountain bike or eMTB, bring it. The trails are open, the shuttle is running, and the jam session is on for everyone who wants to send it. Anyone can jump in, and we’ll be handing out cash prizes for the best style and the coolest whips. If you don’t have a bike, that’s what the demos are for. Show up, hop on, and see what the new trails are all about. 

Collect stamps, win prizes 

Pick up a stamp pass at the Wilden Presentation Centre and visit all five stops – Wilden Presentation Centre, all three Select Builder Showhomes, and the MTB trails – to be entered into our grand prize draw at the end of the event. Not around for the draw? No problem. We’ll contact the winners directly to organize prize pick-up. 

Family-friendly all afternoon 

This one is for everyone. Kids can colour, play lawn games, explore, and grab ice cream from the Community Association booth. Mountain bike fans of all ages will find something to enjoy on our new bike trails.
