Skylands Downhill 2013

Kelowna BC – You are invited to join us for Kelowna’s Annual Skateboard Race: The Skylands Downhill presented by Wilden. The fun family-friendly event takes place June 15 and 16 in Wilden in Kelowna BC. Located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, overlooking the city of Kelowna, the 2013 Skylands DH will be a race to remember. As the sport of downhill skateboarding grows larger each year, there is a stronger need for safe sanctioned events to promote safety and awareness of the sport. With a dedicated team of volunteers, Blake Soneff continues to run an exciting race in the Skylands neighborhood located in Kelowna, BC. A fast and fun race packing in 12 corners over a 2.5km stretch. Tight technical hairpins with some chicanes and a couple straight sections leave lots of room for drafting and excellent racing! Racers will have a full day of free riding before the main event on the Sunday. The course will be open from 9am to 5pm during the weekend. Even as a spectator, your adrenaline will be pumping as you watch the racers speed down the course.
