It’s time to #MeetWilden. Meet Cute Mini Aussie Shepherd Wilden.

1. Tell us the story behind your name.

My parents were originally thinking of another name, but then they moved here to Wilden and thought this was an even better name for me. And I agree, because everywhere I go, everyone always remembers my name!

2. Which Wilden neighbourhood do you live in?

We live in one of the Hidden Lake Lookout townhouses.

3. What do you do for work and where can we find you online?

I’m still in school, so I only work part-time as a window cleaner to earn a bit of money to buy myself yummy treats. Sometimes the windows are really tall though, so I’m only able to clean the bottom half, but most people don’t seem to mind since I do such a great job.

4. What do you do for play?

I love when my parents take me down to the picnic area and throw the ball or sticks for me. Sometimes I even let them chase me around, but I’m too quick for them and they can’t catch me!

5. What is your secret superpower?

My secret superpower is my cuteness – it helps me make so many new friends! Everyone loves to stop and meet me, and I make sure to give them a kiss or two to show them how happy I am to be their friend.

6. What are some of your favourite things about living in Wilden?

I love living in Wilden because there’s so many places to go for walks and explore all the trails. There are so many new smells for me to sniff every time we go.

7. What is Kelowna’s best kept secret?

Kelowna has so many tourists – I should know, I get pet by them all the time. What they don’t know is living here is even better than just visiting. We have everything here; local wine for my mommy to drink, lakes for us all to swim in, and of course all the trails to explore!

8. What is your favourite locally made product?

The plants that grow here are so fun to eat. Even though my mommy and daddy say no, I make sure to get a good bite when they aren’t looking!

9. If you could give $1M to charity, which one would you choose?

I would give one million dollars to Children’s Hospital. These sick children have so much more of their life to live; they are too young to have to go through such traumatic experiences. Also then, maybe they would let me go give all the sick kids kisses and make their day with my cuteness!

10. What is the one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

Most people see my colouring and think I’m a Border Collie, and boy are they wrong! I’m a mini Australian Shepherd.

11. If you weren’t living in the beautiful Okanagan, where would you live?

I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I’m still so young so haven’t had much of a chance to travel, but from the few places I have been, nothing beats Kelowna!
