Wilden’s Celebration of Light is Back!
Each Christmas, we love to celebrate the residents who brighten up the dark season with festive lights and décor throughout the Wilden neighbourhood. Wilden residents, this is your cue to get out the ladders, untangle the lights, and help make our hillsides sparkle again this year.
Together with the Wilden Community Association, we’re once again honouring 10 Festive Homes in Wilden that spread joy and holiday cheer.
How the 2025 Celebration Will Work
During the week of December 8, members of the Wilden Community Association will be touring the neighbourhood to select ten homes that catch their eye.
If your home is selected as one of this year’s Top 10 Festive Homes, you’ll find a note delivered to your front door. Our photo team will then come by that same week to capture your home in all its holiday glory.
This isn’t meant to be a high-stakes competition, but more-so a fun and joyful annual community tradition. With so many beautifully decorated homes in Wilden, choosing only ten is always the toughest part!
The Community Choice Award Returns
From December 15th to 21st, you will have the opportunity to vote for your overall favourite home among the selected ten. The home with the most votes will receive a special prize!

- Cast your vote for the home that you feel embodies the spirit of the holidays the most.
Let’s come together to celebrate our neighbours’ creativity and holiday spirit!
Prize Bags and Special Treats:
Every selected home will receive a Wilden prize bag as a thank-you for contributing to the festive spirit in our community. As always, we love to feature and support our very own Wilden residents and their creations.
This year’s prize bags will include:
- A bottle of wine
- Wilden mug
- Stocking stuffers created by Wilden residents
- $50 restaurant gift card to be redeemed at Train Station Pub or Mid-Town Station
Special Prize for the “Community Choice Award”
The winner of our Community Choice Award will receive a special culinary experience, courtesy of Wilden residents Dave and Rhonda at Station Hospitality Group. 🎄✨
Enjoy a curated four-course, wine-paired chef’s dinner for four ($500 value) at Mid-Town Station Kitchen + Drink, where each course is thoughtfully crafted and expertly matched with B.C. wines.
Bonus Prize: Happy Hour at The Train Station Pub
Dave and Rhonda are taking the festivities one step further this year with an extra surprise from The Train Station Pub. One lucky Wilden household will win a Happy Hour experience for six people (value $200), the perfect way to toast the season with friends or family.
How it works:

This Happy Hour prize will be added to one of the prize bags and awarded at random.

To keep things fair, it won’t be combined with the Community Choice Award, which means the winner will be one of the other nine homes.
So even if your home doesn’t take home the Community Choice title, you’ll still have the chance to win something extra just by spreading holiday cheer with your lights & decorations.
Most important: when you unpack your gifts and enjoy your treats, let your neighbours know about them.
