Get Active for Youth Mental Health • Sept. 21st, 2024
Join for a fun-filled day!
Get ready to lace up your shoes and make a difference – the Wild One Run is returning to Wilden this September, and it’s all for an amazing cause: supporting youth mental health in our community.
After wildfires sadly canceled last year’s event, we are excited to welcome back runners of all ages for the sixth annual Wild One Run. With past participants ranging from age three to 79, this community event is truly for everyone – including your furry friends!
Three Distances, Something for Everyone!
- 10km trail run
This course will definitely have its challenges with steep ascends and descends, but the views will be worth every step. Be prepared for loose footing, good trail-running shoes are recommended. - 5km course
You can choose to run or walk the 5km course, plus you have the option to bring your dog along on this route. Dog participants will be started separately from the runners so everyone has enough space and can enjoy their run/walk. - 1km kid’s run
The 1km course is designed for the little ones and young athletes to join the fun. This run is meant to get your kids excited to get their bodies moving. Parents are welcome to accompany their children.
With your 5km and 10km course registration you will receive a Wild One Run drawstring backpack. All young athletes participating in the 1km run will be rewarded with a Wild One ribbon. Kids will be able to decorate their bibs with their lucky numbers or names, and they can enjoy on-site activities including a bouncy castle, lawn games, and face painting.
All proceeds from the Wild One Run go to the Blenk Family Fund for youth mental health, which was established together with the KGH Foundation in 2017. Our goal with this fund is to strengthen the network of mental health support and services in our community, and to support prevention and care surrounding youth mental health.
We know this day will be jam picked with lots of fun, community, and smiles. Don’t miss out – register today to secure your spot. We cannot wait to see you on the trails this September – together, we can make a real impact on youth mental health in our community.
