The 2nd Wild One Trail Run for Youth Mental Health is Coming Up.

On Sunday, October 6th runners of all levels, nature walkers, kids and dogs will gather at the centre of Wilden to run or walk through the beautiful natural areas of Kelowna’s biggest master-planned community. All proceeds of the Wilden Trail Run will go to the youth mental health initiatives of the Blenk family, the developers of Wilden.

The inaugural event with over 200 runners and volunteers plus 26 dogs, and $8,000 raised last year was a grand success; so we are super excited to see how this year will turn out. Just like the first WILD ONE, this year’s trail run offers a special something for everyone: A 10K course for passionate trail runners, a 5K loop for runners and walkers, both with the option to take your dog along, and a 1K loop for little ones and their supporters. All participants including volunteers and supporters get to enjoy the wild and beautiful Wilden back country. On the 5K and 10K courses runners will enjoy stunning views and varying terrain with steep ascents and winding descents – Kelowna trail running at its best! A community celebration with award ceremonies, live music by Round Here, hot beverages and food by Peter Ze German will wrap up the morning.

You can register online for the 2019 Wild One Run through Race Roster until October 5th  at 5.30pm. Find the registration link on our race website.

We are also still looking for volunteers to join our team. If you have a few hours to help out at a fun event and for a great cause we’d love to hear from you. Please email Malindi for further details and volunteer positions.

Check out our Wild One Run website for all the race and event details. We hope to see you on the trails on Sunday, October 6th.
